A SERIES #3

Sound art piece based on recording vibrations, ambient sounds and reverberating spaces in the “entrails” of Reina Sofía National Museum, Madrid, Spain (e.g.: basements, machine rooms, corridors, freight elevators and store-houses.) For the time-line composition, it was used audible and inaudible assembly respecting the sequence of the field recordings done. In the post-production, a bit equalization and few adjustments to the dynamic range were made trying not to modify the essence of the records.

Commissioned for the Radio of Reina Sofia Museum (RRS), for the project Sound Situation-The Aural Drift, curated by Javier Piñango and Oriol Rosell.

Pieza de arte sonoro realizada en base a la captura de vibraciones de material, ambientes y espacios reverberantes en las “entrañas” del Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, España (ej.: subsuelos, salas de máquinas, pasillos, montacargas y almacenes). Para la composición de la línea de tiempo se utilizó montaje audible e inaudible, respetando la secuencia de los espacios en los que se realizaron las grabaciones de campo. En post-producción, se realizaron pequeños ajustes de ecualización y en el rango dinámico, sin modificar la esencia de los registros.

Encargo de la Radio del Museo Reina Sofía (RRS), con motivo del festival Situación Sonora-La Deriva Aural, comisariado por Javier Piñango y Oriol Rosell.
